Stater (Silver, 21 mm, 9.95 g, 9 h). 𐡁𐡏𐡋𐡕𐡓𐡆 ('b'ltrs' in Aramaic) Baaltars seated left, holding lotus-tipped scepter in his right hand and resting his left on his chlamys at his waist; to outer left, thymiaterion surmounted by eagle. Rev. 𐡌𐡆𐡓𐡉 ('mzdy' in Aramaic) Lion walking left; in exergue, 𐡌. Casabonne Series 5, Group B. Künker 97 (2005), 880. SNG Levante 186-8 var. ('Myriandros'). SNG Paris 430-1 var. ('Myriandros'). A very rare variety. Nicely toned. Slightly rough and with minor traces of corrosion and light deposits, otherwise, very fine.
